A working hypothesis is proposed for explanation of peculiar behaviors in Ca 2 Sr(C 2 H 5 CO 2 ) 6 (DSP) observed with respect to its ferroelectric phase transition. On the basis of consideration of crystal structure it is pointed out that the Mitsui theory for Rochelle salt is applicable to DSP, and strain in the ferroelectric phase is dicussed.
