Genomic analysis reports an 835.22-megabase chromosome-level genome assembly for Pandarus bicolor, highlighting a detailed genetic blueprint for parasitic copepod research.
We present a genome assembly from an individual Pandarus bicolor (Arthropoda; Copepoda; Siphonostomatoida; Pandaridae). The genome sequence has a total length of 835.22 megabases. Most of the assembly (94.01%) is scaffolded into 8 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 14.27 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
