Photochemical study demonstrates selective acylation of electron-deficient double bonds in N-allyl acrylamides, indicating clean site selectivity without cyclization.
Decatungstate photocatalysis has attracted considerable interest in recent years. In this work, we examined the chemoselectivity of the reaction between N-allyl acrylamides and aromatic aldehydes under decatungstate photocatalytic conditions. The results demonstrate that acylation proceeds with selectivity for the electrondeficient double bond, and no cyclization products are observed.
