From 3 d -4 p transitions in the copper-like spectra of As V, Se VI and Br VII, energy levels of 3 d 9 4 p 2 have been found above the ground state 3 d 10 1 S 0 of the nickel-like ions. Some of them are broadened by autoionization. The Slater-Condon theory and the generalized least squares techniques led to the interpretation of 121 levels of 3 d 9 4 p 2 from As V to Pd XVIII. The analysis of the one-electron spectra was extended and the ionization limits were revised. The widths of autoionizing energy levels have been calculated from the eigenfunctions in intermediate coupling and ab initio radial integrals, and they show a good agreement with the measured values.
