This paper presents a compact design, simulation, and analysis of a single-band band-pass filter (BPF) optimized for high rejection in the stop-bands. The proposed design in-corporate a compact planer micro-strip structure with a ladder shaped lines specifically a variation of the Stepped-Impedance Resonator (SIR) configuration, to achieve a sharp transition and deep stop-band rejection. The filter demonstrates a minimum insertion loss of 0.329 dB and a maximum return loss of 40.549 dB and its central frequency is 4.3 GHz. Because of its compact size, low cost and excellent performance, this simulation results in validating the filter's high-performance characteristics for demanding wireless communication systems, including WLAN and Bluetooth application. It has good agreement with simulated response and measured response. The filter is designed and simulated using ADS (Key-sight) software.
