Phosphorus compounds of oats. II.—The utilisation of phytate phosphorus by growing chicks

The basal phytin‐free diet of 5‐week‐old chicks was supplemented with phosphorus in the form of (a) inorganic P, (b) phytate P, and (c) phytate P containing radioactive phytin extracted from oats. The results obtained suggest that young growing chicks may utilise considerable amounts of phytate P.
