The resolution of 1‐(2‐piperidyl)propan‐2‐one (isopelletierine) with the enantiomeric 6,6′‐dinitrobiphenyl‐2,2′‐dicarboxylic acids, as described by Galinovsky, Bianchetti, and Vogl, was modified and extended. We thus obtained pelletierine picrate and pelletierine sulfate with melting points and optical rotations in agreement with the values recorded in the literature for these derivatives of the natural product.
