Theoretical model demonstrates topological phase transitions in cortical networks, suggesting testable frequency targets for anesthesia and altered consciousness states.
By extending the E8-Phi lattice morphogenesis model into neural dynamics, we propose that consciousness arises as a topological phase transition when 240 E8 root-vector states achieve phi-coupled coherence at 132Hz harmonic resonance across cortical networks. The non-Hermitian geometry of E8 root vectors provides a natural framework for modeling irreversible, self-referential information integration characteristic of conscious experience, with phi coupling optimizing the balance between integration and differentiation. This predicts that selectively disrupting E8-symmetric frequency harmonics in neural tissue should measurably alter consciousness states, yielding testable predictions for anesthesia research and psychedelic neuroscience.
