The absolute dipole oscillator strengths (cross sections) for the partial and total photoionisation of hydrogen fluoride have been obtained in the 5-60 eV photon energy range by magic-angle dipole (e, 2e) spectroscopy. Total photoabsorption oscillator strengths (cross sections) are determined up to 150 eV. Photoelectron branching ratios for the X 2 Pi , A 2 Sigma + and B 2 Sigma + ionic states of hydrogen fluoride are also reported. Comparison of experimental partial oscillator strengths (cross sections) for the X 2 Pi , A 2 Sigma + and B 2 Sigma + states, respectively, with sophisticated theoretical calculations show generally good agreement over the reported energy range.
