Simulation of the hysteresis phenomenon using Preisach's theory

A computer model for the hysteresis phenomenon in ferromagnetic cores is presented. The determination of the B-H trajectories is based on Preisach's theory, and requires, as input data, the extrado function Be(H) which is the upper bound of the limiting hysteresis loop. The hysteresis model has been checked against measurements obtained for a small transformer. There is satisfactory agreement between the calculated and measured minor B-H loops.
