Hemodilution during CPB was associated with pressure and viscosity reductions; hypothesis-generating and should not yet change practice.
Does hemodilution during cardiopulmonary bypass affect arterial pressure, systemic vascular resistance, and viscosity?
Hemodilution during cardiopulmonary bypass significantly reduces arterial pressure and blood viscosity, but the resulting hypotension does not appear to correlate with postoperative cerebral or cardiac complications.
