The distributions of noise pulse heights have been investigated for a number of 2 in., 5 in. and 10 in. Venetian blind photomultipliers. Observations were taken at a series of temperatures. In most cases the one electron peak was not found but many tubes showed a peak or shoulder on the distribution corresponding to about ten electrons leaving the photocathode. There is believed to be a correlation between this phenomenon and that of satellite pulses.
