Review highlights advances in electro-organocatalytic synthesis for complex molecule assembly, indicating versatile pathways for sustainable asymmetric transformations.
This mini review provides a comprehensive and pedagogical overview of recent advances, primarily reported after 2020, in organocatalytic electrosynthetic strategies that merge organocatalysis with redox‐mediated electroactivation. Progress in this rapidly evolving field demonstrates the ability of electro‐organocatalysis to enable efficient access to structurally complex molecules through both asymmetric and non‐asymmetric transformations while promoting greener, more selective, and sustainable synthetic approaches. The review discusses reaction optimization, substrate scope and limitations, mechanistic insights, and future perspectives, highlighting the significant potential of electro‐organocatalysis as a versatile platform for further methodological innovation.
