Case report reveals concurrent gastrointestinal eosinophilic sclerosing fibroplasia and segmental T-cell lymphoma in a cat, highlighting diagnostic overlap in feline intestinal masses.
A domestic shorthair cat was presented with lethargy and inappetence. Abdominal ultrasound revealed a large jejunal mural mass with diffuse wall thickening without loss of wall layering, severe jejunal lymphadenopathy, and moderate peritoneal effusion. Cytological sampling of the mass and lymph node were consistent with eosinophilic inflammation. The patient was euthanized, and histopathology of the jejunum was consistent with feline gastrointestinal eosinophilic sclerosing fibroplasia and concurrent segmental T‐cell lymphoma.
