A dielectric resonator of the new type—conical quasioptical dielectric resonator—is proposed. The dependence of the resonance oscillation frequency, the quality factor, and the electric field distribution on the cone angle of such a resonator with a conducting screen in the base plane has been experimentally studied in the 8-mm ( Ka -band) wavelength range.
