Animal models in ANCA-vasculitis

Summary The animal models described to date suggest pathogenicity of ANCA. Unfortunately, none of the models unequivocally proves that ANCA are pathogenic. Further search for a suitable animal model to document or exclude causal significance of ANCA in vasculitis is needed.
