Presents data on optical and other properties of corrensite from lower Triassic Roet shales of the Goettingen area, Germany. The mineral, which has also been reported from younger Triassic (Keuper) rocks of Germany and England, consists of regularly interstratified layers of chlorite and vermiculite.
