This paper deals with the phenomenon of fibre migration in Bradford drawing and spinning when Fibro is used as the raw material. The various experiments demonstrate the effect of dimensional differences in the fibres; the degree of migration in the drawing and spinning processes; the difference in migration between the products of Bradford and Continental drawing; the effect of twist, at both the roving and spinning stages; the effect of fibre number in the yarn cross-section, fibre control in drafting, use of doublings in drawing, and the variation of tension in spinning between the front roller and the point of winding-on.
