Video-assisted internal mammary artery mobilization enables complete mobilization of the entire artery length for minimally invasive bypass without requiring dedicated endoscopic instruments.
Why the study?
Does video-assisted internal mammary artery mobilization without dedicated endoscopic instruments allow complete mobilization during minimally invasive direct coronary artery bypass?
Does video-assisted internal mammary artery mobilization without dedicated endoscopic instruments allow complete mobilization during minimally invasive direct coronary artery bypass?
A simple video-assisted technique without dedicated endoscopic instruments enables complete internal mammary artery mobilization for minimally invasive direct coronary artery bypass.
We describe a simple and expeditious technique for harvesting the internal mammary artery for minimally invasive direct coronary artery bypass. This technique utilizes video-assistance but does not require dedicated endoscopic surgical instruments. With this method complete mobilization of the entire length of the artery can be easily achieved.
