Economic analysis demonstrates a 10% qualitative component in Russian economic expansion from 2022 to 2024, indicating that sustained progress requires increasing industrial complexity.
The article is devoted to the analysis of qualitative characteristics of economic growth in Russia. The validity of the provisions of the theory of quality and mass resources in modern Russian conditions is considered. It is shown that the availability of high-quality resources in a market economy, as in a planned economy, is largely determined by the established priorities of economic policy. The efficiency of using mass (primary) resources allows us to move on to assessing the qualitative component of economic growth. The tool for studying the efficiency of primary resources is the input–output tables, the analysis of which allows us to state that in the period 2022–2024 the qualitative component of the growth of the Russian economy amounted to approximately 10%. Directions for improving the quality of growth are associated with the increasing complexity of the economy and the expansion of the system of interindustry interactions.
