Overexcitation, overvoltage, and overfluxing limiter models suitable for use in large scale power system stability studies are presented. These models are compatible with current IEEE recommended excitation system models. With these models, most of the limiters of these types in use on large, power system-connected synchronous machines in North America can be represented.
