The nuclear magnetic relaxation rate of 27 Al in an itinerant electron ferromagnet Ni 3 Al has been measured. The measurements were performed in the external fields from 1.0 to 50.0 kOe in both ordered and paramagtaetic states. The temperature dependence of the Knight shift and susceptibility gives the hyperfine field arising from the Ni 3d-spin of H Al hf ( d )=-7.60 kOe per Bohr magneton per Ni atom. The experimental results of the external field dependence of ( T 1 T ) -1 were reasonably well explained by using the self-consistent renormalization (SCR) theory which takes account of the effect of spin fluctuations.
