Measurements are described to show if the unit R × cm2, or ergs or milli-Joule are in the best relationship to the energy absorbed in a patient during radiodiagnosis. The measurements show that the unit R × cm2 in the region from 2 to 4·5 mm A1 HVT seems useful.
