It is reported that ions gererated in the gas phase by dissociative electron attachment to nitrous oxide react with propyne‐d3 (trideuteromethyl acetylene) to yield the ions ĊDCCH, ĊD2CC−, −CD2CCH and CD3CC−. From their differing reactivity with methyl formate it is suggested that these four ions are distinct stable species.
