We previously reported2'3) the structures of six ninhydrin-positive products obtained by acid hydrolysis of bleomycin A2. In this communication, unidentified compound II2) is shown to be /?-amino-/?-(4-amino-6-carboxy-5-methylpyrimidin-2-yl)-propionic acid {II)**.
