Summary This article describes the application of Gore-tex laminates for the conservation of parchment. The first part of the article deals mainly with the technical data of the products used in conservation, whereas the second part describes the construction of so-called sandwiches. Finally, practical experience in parchment conservation gained from three different objects is discussed.
