Recently a new model for the description of the domain structure in ferroelectric liquid crystals with high spontaneous polarization was postulated. The existence of smectic layers being tilted in different direction in the FLC cell is one of the fundamental assumptions of this new model. The resulting domains and dislocation walls are stabilized by charge carriers. In order to check the influence of conductive dopants on the domain mode effects, ferroelectric liquid crystalline mixtures were doped with different kinds and different amounts of conductive materials. These mixtures were investigated measuring the complex dielectric permittivity component ε* in the frequency range from 10 Hz up to 10 MHz and the domain periodicity.
