New complexes, [VO(OH)(CH3-oxin)2], [VO(OH)(CH3-oxin)2(OH2)2] and Na[VO(O)(CH3-oxin)2(OH2)2]·2H2O have been prepared and discussed in relation to the structures. From experimental evidences of these complexes and of 8-quinolinol-vanadium complexes, we have concluded that the violet form of 8-quinolinol-vanadium complex has a cis configuration and that the red form has a trans one.
