Profiles of the He r (23P-5~D)-Iine at 4026.2 A inclusive of the forbidden components at 4045.1 A (23P-33P), 4025.5 A (23P-53F), and 4025.3 A (23P-53G), and allowing for the (23P-53S)-transition at 4120.8 A, are derived, by use of the quasi-static approximation to account for the perturbing ions and by use of the impact approximation as generalized for overlapping lines to describe the electron effects. Tabulated profiles of the line absorption coefficient are presented which, in addition to the Stark broaden- ing of the upper levels, allow for the fine structure of the lower levels and thermal Doppler broadening. For low electron densities and higher series members (also of the singlet series), asymptotic formulas are proposed together with suitably weighted and displaced Voigt profiles. The agreement of the triplet lines with Vidal's measurement is satisfactory, except at n »= 10, for which the measured profiles are narrower by more than 15 percent. The measured wing intensities of high-n singlet lines, however, are larger than calculated by factors of -~2
