The gorgonian Eunicella labiata from Palmones, Spain, contains the known cladiellane diterpenes eunicellin ( 1 ), palmonine D ( 3 ), and labiatin B ( 4 ), together with the new (1 S *,2 Z, 6 E,10 R *,11 S *,12 S *,13 S *,14 R *)-12,13-diacetoxycladiella-2,6-dien-11-ol ( 2 ). The structure was elucidated by interpretation of spectral data, and the relative stereochemistry was defined using NOEDS experiments.
