The development of enzyme electrodes for the determination or conversion of substrate NAD+‐dependent dehydrogenases requires that NADH can undergo direct electrochemical oxidation. A graphite electrode doped with chloranil is very well suited for this purpose—as is shown by cyclic voltammetry and coulometry.
