A review of the literature on scrotal, non-testicular actinomycosis revealed only a few such cases. Since actinomycosis usually is associated with anorectal disease it should be considered as an etiologic agent if there is a simultaneous appearance of a persistent scrotal or perineal mass in a patient with recurrent anorectal disease. © 1979 by The American Urological Association Education and Research, Inc.FiguresReferencesRelatedDetailsCited byRashid A, Williams R, Parry D and Malone P (2018) Actinomycosis Associated with Pilonidal Sinus of the PenisJournal of Urology, VOL. 148, NO. 2 Part 1, (405-406), Online publication date: 1-Aug-1992.Gotoh S, Kura N, Nagahama K, Higashi Y, Fukui I, Takagi K, Terada T, Kao T, Kamiyama R and Oshima H (2018) Actinomycosis of Urachal RemnantsJournal of Urology, VOL. 140, NO. 6, (1534-1535), Online publication date: 1-Dec-1988.Souza E, Katz D, Dworzack D and Longo G (2018) Actinomycosis of the ProstateJournal of Urology, VOL. 133, NO. 2, (290-291), Online publication date: 1-Feb-1985.Murphy J (2018) Editorial CommentJournal of Urology, VOL. 133, NO. 2, (291-291), Online publication date: 1-Feb-1985.Fanous H, Elist J and Edson M (2018) Perivesical Actinomycosis Presenting as an Acute AbdomenJournal of Urology, VOL. 126, NO. 1, (117-118), Online publication date: 1-Jul-1981.
