Doppler sonography successfully aided in the diagnosis of an aortocaval fistula secondary to a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm in a 73-year-old man, leading to successful surgical repair.
Case Report (n=1)
Venous ultrasonography with Doppler flow analysis is a valuable tool for detecting aortocaval fistulas in patients presenting with suspected DVT and high-output heart failure.

Iwasaki et al. (2001) conducted a case report in Aortocaval fistula associated with ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm (n=1). Surgical repair (fistula closure and Y-graft replacement) was evaluated on Successful surgical repair and resolution of symptoms.
