Churches and religion play extremely influential roles in this society. But the message presented by some churches around HIV infection has not always been positive. Other churches have embraced a humanistic, compassionate leadership role in HIV education and prevention. This paper describes a specific program for adolescents that has been developed and implemented in a religious context.
