The relationship of this condition to chronic granulocytic leukemia remains confused because of the existence of cases which appear to be either transitional or intermediate between these 2 conditions. The use of a broad classification, such as myeloproliferative syndrome, serves to point out the similarities of this group of diseases, but the presence of histologically demonstrable fibrous tissue in the bone marrow, whether or not it is of fundamental importance, continues to...References1.
