An experimental arrangement is described which permits to observe mass transfer in synthetic zeolite crystals of small size by gravimetry without interference from external mass transfer and heat transfer resistance.—Experimental results concerning the kinetics of sorption of 3‐methyl‐pentane, benzene and p‐xylene in pentasil‐zeolite are reported. These results indicate that not only diffusion but also other intracrystalline relaxation phenomena can influence the rate of sorption into zeolites.
