Heats of mixing at 20° C are given for the system hexane‐dodecane. The results are in agreement with Brønsted's principle of congruence as derived from previous heat of mixing data on other binary alkane systems. The entropy of mixing in the present system is somewhat smaller than that following from Guggenheim's theory for athermal mixtures.
