The derotating effect of the Boston brace on the apical vertebra has been investigated in 33 patients with idiopathic scoliosis. The rotatory angle was studied both by computer tomography and by the method of Nash and Moe as modified by Nordvall. The results obtained by the two methods are compared. The correction of the Cobb angle was 54%, and the correction of the rotatory angle measured by computer tomography was 38%.
