Six cases of hypopharyngcal carcinoma, in which pharyngo‐laryngo‐œsophagectomy with immediate pharyngo‐gastric reconstruction was performed, are described. This form of repair restored normal swallowing within a few days in all cases, with no occurrence of fistula or stenosis. A more extensive use of this procedure is advocated.
