Carbohydrate components in the 7S protein from soybean casein fraction were found to be mannose and hexosamine. The former was identified by paper and starch-column chromatographies and its content was approximately 4% per protein. The latter, hexosamine, was contained about 1.2% per protein. Mannose was considered as an integral constituent of the 7S protein from the data of heat and acid denaturation, paper electrophoresis and column chromatography with Sephadex G-200.
