Radioimmunoassay detection of C-type viral protein p30 expression in six organs allowed the separation of 27 mouse strains into eight distinct groups.
Radioimmunoassay of C-type viral protein p30 expression can be used to characterize and separate inbred strains and substrains of mice.

Offers biochemical strain differentiation in mice; extends genetic tools yet leaves open translational relevance to cardiovascular models.
The radioimmunoassay method for detection of the major core C-type viral protein p30 is a tool for the characterization and control in inbred strains of mice. 27 mouse strains could be separated into eight groups based on examination of six organs. It is also possible to separate substrains if they are genetically different. Several genes play a role in the expression of p30, but also genotype-environmental interactions seem to affect the p30 expression.

H.-H. KROG (2009) studied this question. Radioimmunoassay for C-type viral protein p30 was evaluated on C-type viral protein p30 expression. Radioimmunoassay detection of C-type viral protein p30 expression in six organs allowed the separation of 27 mouse strains into eight distinct groups.
