The dielectric constants of NaClNaBr, KClKBr, RbClRbBr, KClRbCl, and KIRbI mixed ionic crystals were measured by the “immersion method” at 1 MHz as a function of concentration. Their variations with the mole fraction were represented by convex curves. A semi-empirical equation for calculating the dielectric constant of mixed ionic crystals was derived, and good agreement between experimental and calculated values was obtained.
