The authors report the results of a theoretical study of the hydrogenated and deuterated amorphous GaAs, GaP and GaSb alloys studied by Wang and co-workers (1982), who made infrared absorption measurements. The infrared data are explained in terms of the various types of hydrogen and host-atom complexes such as monohydrides and dihydrides. The results are in excellent agreement with the available experimental data. However, some new predicted peaks appearing in the low-frequency region associated with the dihydrides need experimental verification.
