A numerical solution is presented for laminar, fully developed pulsatile flow in curved tubes of circular cross section. The governing equations are written to take care of small as well as large curvature ratios. Results for a moderately wide range of parameters (Dean number and frequency of pulsation) are presented. The average peripheral and unsteady wall shear stress variations are calculated. The alternating direction implicit method is used as described by Peaceman and Rachford.
