Experimental study demonstrates high capacitance and cycling stability in a room-temperature NiFe2O4/ZIF-67 electrode, highlighting its promise for durable, sustainable energy storage systems.
Sustainable energy storage materials must deliver high capacitance, robust cycling stability, and fast charge transport. Herein, we report a NiFe 2 O 4 /ZIF‐67 nanocomposite supercapacitor electrode synthesized via a facile, scalable, room‐temperature method. The porous, high‐surface‐area ZIF‐67 framework combined with redox‐active NiFe 2 O 4 provides abundant active ion sites, short ion‐diffusion paths, and fast ion/electron transfer, resulting in high specific capacitance. The composite electrode delivers 758 F at a current density of 5 A , along with a maximum specific power of 4.2 10 W at a specific energy of 10.5 Wh . It retains 93% of its initial capacitance with 99% Coulombic efficiency after 10,000 consecutive charge–discharge cycles at 5 A . These results establish the NiFe 2 O 4 /ZIF‐67 composite as a promising next‐generation electrode material for sustainable energy storage applications.
