Technostress, a concept describing the stress burden of digital life, is increasingly affecting students as educational processes shift to digital environments. In this context, the technostress levels of Library and Information Science (LIS) students, whose professional practices and curricula are closely tied to technology, have become particularly interesting. This study aims to explore the technostress experienced by LIS students in Türkiye. This study, conducted in accordance with a quantitative research design, was carried out with the participation of a total of 350 undergraduate LIS students from fourteen universities in Türkiye. The results show that LIS students experience technostress, primarily due to the complexity of technology and information overload. It was also found that as online time increases, managing technology becomes more burdensome for students, and their personal space is more frequently invaded by technology. The study further revealed that technostress levels did not vary according to personality types. Although many studies focus on employees’ technostress, the relationship among technostress, personality type, and undergraduate LIS students has not been explored in the literature. This research is expected to contribute to the limited literature on the subject.
