Theoretical framework demonstrates a substrate-independent relational ontology across space-time, suggesting a unified model for physical dynamics, life, and consciousness.
This paper presents the foundational architecture of the Cosmic Matrix Theory,an axiomatic relational ontology of the universe grounded in Relation and theRelational Continuum. The Cosmic Matrix is defined as a Relational Continuum, wherein Relation is the coupling of fundamental convergent (Order) and diver-gent (Chaos) tendencies. By establishing the Relational Limit, the theory definesthe ontological bounds of admissible relation. Through an Operational Frame-work defined over space-time, relations are delimited into Relational Domains andrealized as Resolved Relations, RR(x, t). The framework identifies three GlobalLimiting Cases, with the observable universe identified with the Initial State ofmaximum admissible Order coupled with minimum admissible Chaos, evolvingthrough Redistribution toward a Terminal State of minimum admissible Ordercoupled with minimum admissible Chaos. The framework further defines life asa Relational Domain that maintains its Order–Chaos coupling within viabilitybounds through Redistribution, and consciousness as the internal perspective oflife as it interacts with the Cosmic Matrix. By establishing these foundationalprinciples without altering the mathematical validity of existing formulations, the theory provides a substrate-independent relational framework within whichphysical dynamics may be interpreted.
