The Raman spectra of 2,5-dihydropyrrole, trimethyleneimine, and 1-d-trimethyleneimine in the gas phase have been recorded. Both Δv=1 and Δv=2 transitions have been observed for the ring-puckering mode. The Δv=1 transitions were quite weak for trimethyleneimine which seems to be consistent with the asymmetry of the ring-puckering wavefunctions.
