La2NiMnO6 (LNMO) is a multifunctional double perovskite exhibiting near-room-temperature ferromagnetism along with semiconducting behavior, making it attractive for spintronic, catalytic, and energy-storage applications. This review summarizes reported structural, magnetic, and electronic studies of LNMO using techniques such as X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, and magnetometry. Structural analyses confirm a monoclinic (P21/n) phase with B-site ordering strongly influencing physical properties. Highly ordered samples approach the theoretical magnetic moment (∼5 μB per formula unit), whereas antisite disorder and oxygen vacancies reduce magnetic performance. Elemental doping further enables bandgap and dielectric tunability, expanding LNMO’s technological potential.
