A semiempirical equation for the isothermic compression of a solid explosive is proposed. It is based on the Helmholtz potential with an elastic component in the Born-Mayer form and a heat component in the Debye form. Isotherm equation constants are determined via X-ray diffraction analysis of triamino-trinitrobenzene under hydrostatic compression in Merrill-Basset diamond anvils using synchrotron radiation.
